A place with a story to tell.
Welcome to Studio 79, a collection of thoughtfully furnished studios in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. What began as a simple idea has grown into something more personal — a place where travellers can feel comfortable, welcomed, and at home.

Where it all began.
Construction of Studio 79 began in 2019 with a vision of welcoming travellers from around the world.
Then, the unexpected happened. As the COVID-19 pandemic brought international travel to a standstill, our plans had to change. Instead of welcoming visitors, Studio 79 became a home for students attending nearby universities.
As the world reopened, we returned to our original vision, transforming Studio 79 into a welcoming place for travellers discovering Ho Chi Minh City. The journey wasn't quite what we imagined, but it helped shape the place Studio 79 is today.

A story beyond the building.
Jon, originally from Vancouver, Canada, was travelling through Vietnam when he met Hailey.
What started as a chance meeting grew into a long-distance relationship, connecting two people across different countries and cultures.
Today, we share a life together and the opportunity to welcome travellers to a place that holds a special meaning for us. For Jon, Vietnam became more than a destination. It became part of home.

Duy is the friendly face you'll meet when you arrive at Studio 79. From welcoming you at check-in to helping with questions during your stay, he's there to make sure you feel comfortable and looked after.

We believe good hospitality doesn't need to be complicated. It's a comfortable room after a long journey, a friendly face when you arrive, a real person to contact when you need assistance, and the freedom to experience Ho Chi Minh City at your own pace.
We're not a large hotel chain, and that's something we value. At Studio 79, every guest matters, and every stay is an opportunity to make someone feel a little more at home.
